  Information on fire safety, codes related to fire protection and current public campaigns for fire safety (Fire Prevention Week).

• NVFC - National Volunteer Fire Council

  Information on legislation on Capitol Hill, fire prevention activites and member benefits for volunteer departments.

• FEMA - Federal Emergency Management Agency

  Information on Federal Disasters/Emergencies. Also has tips to keep you safe, picture archives, and disaster related news. Also has links to local FEMA task forces, such as Ohio Task Force 1 (see below).

• Everyone Goes Home

  Everyone Goes Home is a national program by the National Fallen Firefighter Foundation to prevent line-of-duty deaths and injuries. State and Local Resources MVFEA - Miami Valley Fire/EMS Alliance Local organization that acts as a forum for solving local, area-wide and national fire safety, protection and EMS issues. Ohio Fire Chiefs Association Statewide organization that acts as a collective group to solve fire and EMS problems throughout the state. OHTF1 - Ohio Task Force 1 Information on the Miami Valley's own Urban Search and Rescue team, including daily updates while the team is deployed. FDNY Fire Zone The FDNY Fire Zone is a not-for-profit foundation that is part of the FSEF (Fire Safety Education Fund). The fund provides support for a wide range of educational and public-awareness programs designed to reduce fires and fire fatalities for both the public and for New York City firefighters. The Fund also enhances the FDNY's fire safety initiatives and makes possible much needed extra programs outside the Fire Department's existing budget.
