Urban Search and Rescue:
Ohio Task Force One

Ohio Task Force-1 (OHTF-1) is part of the Federal Emergency Management Agency's FEMA) Urban Search and Rescue System. They are one of 28 Urban Search and Rescue Teams in the nation.

OHTF-1 has been comprehensively trained in structural collapse search and rescue. This training has given them the ability to provide assistance across the country, as well as an enhanced response capability for the local community. OHTF-1 will also receive extensive training in responding to incidents involving Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), such as chemical, biological or radiological agents.

OHTF-1 includes members of our own Bellbrook Fire Department:

• FF. Edward Crowe (Technical Search specialist)
